Studied a t the Royal College of Art, London. At first a textile the local government service, was a part-time painter only. Associated designer he has devoted himself to painting since 1 9 3 1 when he retired with the Euston Road Group. Member of the London Group. One-man to Cornwall. He has h a d one-man shows in London since 1932, and shows in London in 1940 a n d 1945- Work purchased by the Ta t e in New York 1945- Member o f the London Group.
