Sponsor message JIM DEMACK CHAIRMAN, GADENS Gadens is thrilled to be the Major Partner of QAGOMA's 'mudunama kundana wandaraba jarribirri: Judy Watson', an exhibition of more than 120 works by acclaimed Brisbane-based Waanyi artist Judy Watson. Judy Watson's deeply considered practice explores truth-telling and its relationship to the environment, and the history and culture of Indigenous Australians. Told through the lens of a First Nations woman with powerful connections to Country, the exhibition features significant paintings, videos, sculptures and prints from her decades-long career. Gadens has a longstanding commitment to the arts. We support the culture of the communities in which we live and work, and we are proud of our partnership with QAGOMA, which spans more than 30 years. Our involvement extends beyond the traditional, such as sponsorships and corporate art collection, to support the integration of the arts into the firm's day-to-day operations. Our approach is based on a philosophy of creative engagement, which is designed to encourage our people to think imaginatively and to share their ideas. As a firm, we understand the importance of our First Nations people, their long history and their contribution to Australia's vibrant culture, and we are proud of the work of our First Nations Engagement Group. We are also passionate about efforts to 'close the gap' and we engage with First Nations artists, as well as local Indigenous businesses, wherever possible. We encourage everyone to visit QAGOMA and enjoy 'mudunama kundana wandaraba jarribirri', a beautifully resonant exhibition of the work of Judy Watson, one of Australia's most revered contemporary artists. bloom 2009 PP. 24–5 tow row 2016 22
