It is my pleasure to welcome visitors to ‘The 11th Asia Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art’ at the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA). From its first edition in 1993, the Asia Pacific Triennial has staked its claim as a vital part of Brisbane’s cultural scene and built a gateway through which audiences can experience the artistic expression of the wider Asia Pacific region to which we belong. Brisbane is known as a lively city with a thriving arts and culture scene, making it the perfect destination for this event.
