The Second Asia-Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art, Brisbane, Australia, 1996 : Report

Tourism Markets The Queensland Art Gallery targeted tourism markets in order to promote the Second Triennial to tourists visiting Australia, particularly from the Asia-Pacific region. Personal briefings were conducted with the Queensland Tourist and Travel Corporation's publicity and media familiarisation, and information kits were distributed to every Australian Tourist Commission and Queensland Tourist and Travel Corporation office interstate and overseas. Liaison with local tourism industry representatives resulted in numerous tours of the exhibition by important clients, such as a group of international conference organisers from Europe, and groups of overseas media representatives. 21
