The Curator of Prints, Drawings and Photographs and a Project Officer, APT attended the Chiang Mai Social Installations event in November, 1995. Courses in liaising with Asian cultures The Gallery has supported staff participation in short term courses focussing on cultural awareness and effective liaison with individuals from Asian cultures. Asian languages Six Gallery staff members are currently engaged in individually initiated Asian language courses, reflecting the personal commitment by staff to the long term engagement with the region and to deepening of their own understandings of Asian cultures. The Gallery is supporting and assisting these staff initiatives. 23
