The Second Asia-Pacific Triennial of Contemporary Art, Brisbane, Australia, 1996 : Report

NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL FORUMS The National and International Forums formed a vital part of the Second Asia-Pacific Triennial consu ltation process towards the intellectual and curatorial development of the p roject. Delegates discussed suggested curatorial themes and the curatorial process, and delivered presentations on the contemporary arts of the region . Both Forums were organised and funded by the Gallery. The National Forum was held on 27 April 1 995. The Gallery invited sixty-five delegates from all Australian states and territories, including artists, writers , curators and academics. The I nternational Forum was held from 30 June to 3 Ju ly 1 995 and i nvolved seventeen delegates from fifteen participating countries and twenty Australian members of the Second Triennial curatorial teams. 12
