Catalogue Supplements The Second Triennial catalogue is accompanied by three supplements which complete the documentation of the exhibition and provide additional information on the exhibited works. 1 . List of works i ncludes detailed caption information on every work in the exhibition . 2. Installations and performances documents with forty-nine illustrations, the i nstallations and performances as presented during the Second Triennial. 3. Artists statements is a compilation of statements submitted by the participating artists concerning their work in the Second Triennial. The three supplements are i nserted i n the back pocket of the catalogue. Resource Kit An Resource Kit, was produced by the Gallery with additional funds from the Australia Foundation for Culture and the Humanities. The A4 Kit contained seventeen colour postcards, and three booklets produced through extensive collaboration with the Queensland Department of Education and Un iversity of Queensland staff (see also Education Section in Volume 3) . ArtAsiaPacific Supplement The Gallery col laborated with Fine Arts Press in the publication of a 1 6 page, full colour supplement, exclusively concerned with the Second Asia-Pacific Triennial. The supplement was inserted in the art journal Art AsiaPacific, Volume 4 , Number 1 , 1 997. The supplement outlines the main aspects of the project and illustrates with twenty­ fou r photographs, the process and artworks of the exhibition. Art AsiaPacific is widely distributed and read in the Asia-Pacific region as well as internationally and , as such, offered an ideal avenue for the promotion of the project to a broad audience . To date 7,000 copies of the supplement have been distributed. Asian ArtNews Supplement Similarly to Art AsiaPacific, Asian Art News is a popular art journal , published in Hong Kong (in English) and distributed internationally. The Gallery funded the production of a 1 6 page, full colour supplement focussed on the Second Asia­ Pacific Triennial which became part of the January/February 1 997 issue of the journal . 1 ,000 run ons have been produced. The supplement includes essays by Joanna Mendelssohn, Nicholas Thomas and Ian Howard; interviews with Doug Hall and Caroline Turner; artists' statements; and twenty-five illustrations. 44
