The 'journey' began at Kangaroo Point, moved through Brisbane CBD in peak l unchtime pedestrian and street traffic, moved across the Victoria Bridge and concluded to the Gallery Jun J ieh WANG Performers were engaged as ' Hostesses' with in the Neon Urlaub -Agency version installation each day, located in Gallery 2 Mella JAARSMA Performers wore each of the four 'j ilbabs' (in ch icken , fish , frog and kangaroo skin) at the Medi;:i Preview and at the Open ing Party Mella JAARSMA The artist prepared an interactive cooking performance and invited aud iences to prepare meals on three cooking stations during the Artist Party Amanda HENG Th artist presented a 2 hour solo performance in Gallery 4 Patrice KAIKILEKOFE The artist led a group of dancers and musicians in a performance involving the making of ceremonial 'Kava' in the Scul pture Courtyard during the Open ing Party M ichel TUFFERY + Patrice KAIKI LKOFE The aritsts led a one hour performance involving over 60 Pacific Islander and Indigenous Australian performers in a street procession in peak-hour traffic that moved from the QAG to South Brisbane then back to the QAG Forecourt to concl ude with an intense 20 minute dance and musical event Dadang CHRISTANTO The artist presented a 2 hour performance involving the burning of the artist's work, Fire in May, in the QAG Sculpture Courtyard for Conference delegates LAWRENCE PURTANG The artist, accompaned by PNG performers presented a series of ritual events M ICHAEL PAREKOWHAI The artist organised the playing of his 1 0 Guitars during the Artist Party 8- 1 4 Sept, 1 2 noon and 4pm ELISION Sonorous Bodies - a video installation/performance by Jud ith Wright, Liza Lim and Satsuki Odamura was presented at Brisbane City Gallery 1 0 , 1 1 , 1 4, 1 5 Sept, 8pm ELISION Transmisi -an installation/ performance by Heri Dono, Richard Barrett and ELISION was presented at the Tennyson Powerhouse, Brisbane 1 9 Sept, 8pm ELISION Inferno - a concert performance with conductor Carl Rosman, soprano Deborah Kayser, with new works by Liza Lim , Chaya Czernowin and John Rodgers was presented at the Old Queensland Museum Building, Brisbane 40
