Though the Bug Master was a clear favourite, the children were also very enchanted by the Chinese Acrobat performances because of the technical competence of the performers. Many children commented that the performance was “magic”, “amazing”, or “very clever”. Sensorimotor Children were exposed to a wide range of sensorimotor activities in the festival environment. These included craft/‘making things’ activities, observational activities, olfactory options, and vigorous activity. Some activities were available on a limited basis during the daily program, and so these findings should be read cautiously. Children had a diverse range of interests, but expressed a clear preference for 3 key activities: Ping-Pong Portraits , Squirts and Mirrorama .
