The group has developed innovative projects that combine Western and Asian traditions. Nashi 3.00–4.00pm Sunday 27 October; Gallery 5 Carl Rathus and Stuart Ransom of Nashi (a shakuhachi duo) performed both Zen and modern compositions. Polytoxic 12.00 noon Saturday 9 November; Watermall Dance performance by local group Polytoxic, featuring contemporary Samoan dancers Efeso Fa’anana and Lisa Fa’alafi. Ancestral Plane 12.00 noon – 1.00pm Saturday 14 December Stephen Rosenberg 3.00–4.00pm Sunday 26 January Accomplished musician Stephen Rosenberg performed selections from his broad and eclectic repertoire on a variety of instruments including the shakuhachi (the Zen flute of Japan), guitar, the conch shell and the goat horn.
