32 APT8 KIDS ARTWORKS AND PROJECTS ARTWORKS AND PROJECTS RICHARD BELL 15 MINUTES 2015 Richard Bell is known for his work in painting and video, and he often uses humour in his practice to communicate ideas around important issues, such as Aboriginal land rights, political representation and equality. For APT8 Kids, Richard developed 15 Minutes , a video work exploring celebrity and fame. To discover what children think of fame, Richard conducted a series of interviews with school students from the Aboriginal and Islander Independent Community School (The Murri School), Caboolture Montessori School, Moorooka State School and St Francis College, Crestmead. In these interviews, children talk about their interests and ambitions, what they think makes them special, and why they could be famous.
