GOMA Restaurant reopens Like so many venues in the hospitality industry, GOMA Restaurant took a mandatory sabbatical during this rollercoaster year. At long last, we’re excited to announce that GOMA Restaurant has now reopened, with a striking new vision for their food and wine experience, including a reimagined menu and contemporary wine list. Moving away from the traditional menu format, QAGOMA Executive Chef Doug Innes-Will and GOMA Restaurant Chef Matthew Blackwell have taken the closure period to contemplate what the restaurant represents. Guests can still enjoy gastronomic treasures, skilful culinary techniques and leisurely tasting menus, but in addition to these, the Restaurant now offers options to suit any occasion or appetite. ‘We wanted to retain the artistry and culinary technique in our dishes, to highlight the close relationships we’ve built with local producers, and to lead on sustainable fine dining. We also wanted to invite more of the community to experience what we do, and to inspire playfulness in our guests and give them the freedom to explore the menu any way they choose. The new menu encourages guests to drop in for a quick glass and bite on the terrace, or stay for a long, lazy lunch, or anything in between. Everyone is welcome here; we want our guests to feel like this space belongs to them,’ said Innes-Will. GOMA Restaurant is currently focused on a daytime dining experience, open 11.00am – 4.00pm, Wednesday to Sunday. We’re also offering an exciting series of special evening events, including tasting dinners exploring remarkable wine styles, bespoke collaborations with some of Brisbane’s best names in restaurants, elaborate vegan-harvest celebrations and more.
