Development); Julie Ewington took up the position of Curator (Australian Art); and Ross Sue See was appointed to the newly created position of Manager, Marketing & Business Development. The Gallery benefited through the award of a Churchill Fellowship to the Exhibitions Officer, Andrew Clark, which enabled him to travel overseas to research new developments in exhibition design. A Treasury-initiated review of corporate services within the Arts portfolio occurred, and the Government subsequently endorsed the establishment of a Corporate Administration Agency. This agency will centralise and service the needs of the Gallery, State Library and Queensland Museum in the areas of finance, human resources, information technology and general administration. The implementation phase for this centralised approach has now commenced. The Gallery improved visitor services with the development of a Web- site, which included a special feature on the second Triennial, available in an expanded form as an Intranet site within the exhibition.
