Queensland Art Gallery Society During 1997-98, Society members were offered a diverse range of functions including the 1997 Christmas Party, Sotheby's viewing and appraisal day, and a special viewing of 'The Golden Age of Dutch Art'. The Society's 1997 Gertrude Langer Lecture was presented by celebrated Australian artist, Tim Starrier. Many members of the business community provided much– appreciated support, including Art Land lndooroopilly, The Grape Management Group, Lennons Hotel, BRL Hardy Limited, Yellowglen, Conrad International Treasury Casino, and Mitchell Ogilvie. During the year, the Society also worked with other organisations, such as Sotheby's Australia and the English Speaking Union, to present activities for its members.
