5 5 Queensland Art Gallery Appendix Financial Statements Queensland Art Gallery Board of Trustees Queensland Art Gallery Board of Trustees Certificate of the Queensland Art Gallery Board of Trustees Independent Audit Report We have prepared the foregoing annual financial statements pursuant to the Scope provisions of the Financial Administration and Audit Act 1977 and other prescribed requirements and certify that:- I have audited the financial statements of the Queensland Art Gallery Board of Trustees for the year ended 30 June 1999 comprising the Operating Statement, (a) the foregoing financial statements with other information and notes to and Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Cash Flows, Notes to and forming forming part thereof are in agreement with the accounts and records of the part of the accounts and certificates given by the Chairman and Director as Queensland Art Gallery Board of Trustees; required by Financial Administration and Audit Act 1977. )b) in our opinion- The Board of Trustees is responsible for the preparation and the form of presentation of the financial statements and the information they contain. The year 2000 isue has ben adresed only in the context of my ex audit responsibility under Australian Auditing Standards to expres an opin Wayne GOSS D.G. HALL on the financial statements. Plans and associated actions to address the year Chairman, for and on behalf Director 2000 issue have been reviewed for action taken to date, but the adequacy of of the Board of Trustees Queensland Art Gallery those plans has not been assessed. Accordingly, the audit of the financial Queensland Art Gallery statements does not provide specific assurance, nor is a specific opinion expressed that the systems of the Queensland Art Gallery Board of Trustees or other systems such as those of suppliers, vendors, service providers, customers, associates, joint venture parties or third parties are year 2000 compliant. The audit opinion expressed in this certificate has been formed on the above basis. Audit Opinion In accordance with the provisions of the Financial Administration and Audit Act 1977, I certify that I have received all the information and explanations I have required and, in my opinion - the prescribed requirements in respect of the establishment and keeping of accounts have been complied with in all material respects; and the statements have been drawn up so as to present a true and fair view in accordance with prescribed accounting standards and other prescribed requirements of the transactions of the Queensland Art Gallery Board of Trustees for the financial year ended 30 June 1999 and of the financial position as at the end of that year.
