_Pursue a leadership role in the acquisition of contemporary art of the Asia-Pacific region. _Provide and maintain complete and accurate information on the Collection and objects in the temporary custody of the Gallery. _Provide and maintain a level of physical safety for the Collection consistent with current international museum standards. _Establish and implement appropriate practices and standards for the conservation of the Collection. INITIATIVES a SERVICES _Continue to foster research into the Collection and communicate the results through interpretive programs for a diversity of audiences. _Continue to develop and implement integrated public education programs to support the Collection and exhibitions. _Investigate and implement enhanced public access to the Collection and the innovative delivery of education and information services to Queensland including the development and enhancement of the Gallery's website. _Organise and present exhibitions at the Queensland Art Gallery. _Develop, coordinate and tour exhibitions to regional Queensland. _Continue to advise and consult with the education sector in urban and regiona l Queensland. _Continue to develop a leading research facility to foster research into, and the development of, the Asia-Pacific collection and major exhibitions/projects. _Continue to provide consultancy services and professional support to local government-funded regional galleries. _Continue to provide professional development opportunities for arts workers in regional Queensland. _Continue to support Gallery touring exhibitions with a range of related education and information resources and programs. EXHIBITIONS a AUDIENCES _Organise and present exhibitions at the Queensland Art Gallery. _Develop, coordinate and tour exhibitions to regional Queensland. _Develop, coordinate and tour exhibitions that showcase the work of regional Queensland artists. _Continue to develop collaborative and consultative procedures for developing exhibitions and supporting programs to travel to regiona l Queensland. QUEENSLAND GALLERY OF MODERN ART _Contribute to the master plan for the Millennium Arts at the Queensland Cultural Centre (MA-QCC) Project. _Refine the functional brief for the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art. _Coordinate planning for developing the programming for the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art. _Develop community liaison activities addressing the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art. _Consult with regional Queensland communities and arts organisations throughout the development of the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art. _Continue the design process for the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art. _Promote the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art as a key component of the Gallery's development strategy. PROGRAMS OF ASSISTANCE _Conduct annual awarding of scholarships and bursaries. _Continue youth training and apprenticeship program. ORGANISATIONAL CULTURE _Facilitate ongoing series of inter-section workshops to ensure collaborative interaction. _Undertake debriefings and evaluations and communicate outcomes to staff. _Identify and support training and professional development opportunities for staff. _Implement strategies contained in the Equal Employment Opportunity Plan. _Implement Change Management Program for staff in preparation for transition to a two-site organisation. 31
