MORE than 70 of the world's great sporting pictures go on show at the Queensland Art Gallery tomorrow. They have been assembled by Queens• land Newspapers from around the world, and include some of the great moments of sport as well as some supreme examples of the art of photography. The display explores almost every as• pcct of art in spart. In the twentieth century, with the devel• opment of photographic techniques new and exciting perspectives have been possi• ble. The exhibition "Art in Sport" is one of the eight major exhibitions which will be open in the gallery from tomorrow. It has been organised by The Courier• Mail in association with the Queensland Art Gallery for Festival 82-Warana and the Commonwealth Festival. It will be on show at the Gallery from tomorrow until October I7. After that it will be taken to Queensland country centres.
