He said there was no better way of displa yi ng the cultural skills of the Commonwealth "in all their splendid variety" than the exhibition of Commonwealth art. The exhibitions, which he opened, include a sc- 1 cc tion or costumes, masks and jewellery of the Commonwealth and · 130 years of the Com– monwealth's photograph– ic history. There are also exhibi– tions of Aboriginal art, children's art from the Commonwealth, crafts, textiles and tapestries, and "Art in Sport," a col– lection of color and black and white sporting photo– graphs, arranged in asso– ciation with The Courier– Mail. Sir Ninian said dis– plays such as these showed what it meant to be people or the Com– monwealth. •· "The Commonwealth of the arts wears many faces, one or them is the face of youth," he said ..
