Mr Paul Gillies was the 500,000th Australian to view "The Entombed Warriors", which bas become the most popu- 1 lar art exhibition in Queensland. More than 129,000 people ha,e Visitor's replica •isited the gallery since the exhi– ~itlon opened three weeks ago. Brisbane's average daily atten– dance Is 4772, compared with Sydney's 3556 and Melbourne's 3684. The State Tourism, National Parks, Sport and Arts Minister, Mr Elliott, presented Mr Gillies with the bronze replica of awarri– or yesterday morning. Mr Gillies was one of 8702 people who ¥isited the exhibition last Sunday - the biggest recorded attendance figure for an exhibition in Australia.
