The Couri e r-Mail Warriors smash records THE Entombed Warriors exhibi– tion attracted 8909 people on its last day at the Queensland Art Gallery yesterday. The queues were long (picture right), but Art Gallery officials said the now of people was smooth. There have been 178,533 visitors during the exhibition's four weeks at the gallery, including 30,000 school– children from as far away as Cairns. "This makes it the largest exhibi– tion held in Queensland," said the gallery director, Mr Raoul Mellish. "By -the time it finishes its tour, it will be the largest exhibition seen in Australia." Mr Mellish said the response of Queenslanders to the exhibition had been outstanding. Last Friday 12,518 people saw the exhibition, surpassing by 50 percent the previous Australian attendance record set in Sydney at a Chinese Ar– cheological Relics exhibition in 1977.
