Under the exchnnge, the curator of education at the Detroit lnslltutc, Mrs Linda A. Downs, will begin a &Ix-week visit to Queensland later this month. Selection for the program Is based on the potential for pro– ducttve exchange of the museums, nr.d the quallflcntlons o• the participating stnfl members. Queensland Art Oallery director Raoul Mellish said the Detroit Institute had an outstanding public program, and state-wide extension services which were of great Interest to the Queens– land gallery's own developing education program.
