At the National Gallery, Mr. Douglas Baker had to unpack the 156 exhibits which were specially wrapped in oil cloth covered with corrugated cardboard. They arrived by T. From next Monday, the most complete collection of Australian paintings ever assembled will be shown in the Queensland National ' Art Gallery. Insured for £30,000. the collection is the Jubilee Ex- hibition of Australian Art. The exhibition organiser (Mr. Laurence Thomas) said last night 180,000 people had already seen the collection in Hobart, Latin- ceston, Melbourne. and Syd- ney.
