FOREWORD This exhibition of paintings by the famous Northwood Group of Sydney is one of the most important exhibitions to be seen in Brisbane during 1961. Each member of this select group of painters - Lloyd Rees, Roland Wakelin, George Lawrence, and John Santry - is a distinguished Aus- tralian artist and the show marks the first occasion on which they have exhibited as a gmup in Brisbane - thus making an exhibition of unusual interest and one 'which is presented with very great pleasure.
