APT6 in Review

The program included: • the ‘New to APT’ program of talks by Gallery curators on topics including Iran (Suhanya Raffel, Curatorial Manager, Asian and Pacific Art), Tibet (Mellissa Kavenagh, Assistant Curator, Asian and Pacific Art), the Mekong region (Russell Storer, Curator, Contemporary Asian Art) and Pacific reggae (Maud Page, Curator, Pacific Art); APT6 Up Late • performances by Australian and Asia Pacific artists including Washington (Melbourne), Ladyhawke (New Zealand), Darky Roots (Brisbane), Salmonella Dub DJ Sound System (New Zealand), Quan (Brisbane), New Pants (China), Little Scout (Brisbane), Ed Kuepper and the Kowalski Collective (Brisbane), Unkle Ho (Indonesia), Astronomy Class (Sydney) and Scott Spark (Brisbane); • a curated program of film by Takeshi Kitano and selected screenings from the APT6 cinema program Promised Lands; • and weekly talks especially for Gallery Members.
