APT7 Exhibition Report
Tourism and Events Queensland contributed to APT7’s international marketing and communication campaign, assisting the Gallery to achieve unprecedented coverage and generate high numbers of interstate and overseas visitors. Major Sponsor Kramer Ausenco generously supported the Papua New Guinea project. We thank Zimi Meka (Ausenco) and Frank Kramer (Kramer Ausenco) for their tremendous support of this groundbreaking project. We also acknowledge the support of Major Sponsor, the Chairman’s Circle, the Gallery’s corporate members program. The investment from the exhibition’s Tourism and Media Partners enabled the Gallery to present an extensive campaign incorporating all forms of media. APT7 achieved significant local, national and international profile and we thank the following partners for their contributions: ABC Radio National, The Courier-Mail , The Sunday Mail , Southern Cross Austereo through B105, Tourism Queensland, Brisbane Marketing, Adshel, Virgin Australia and Brisbane Airport Corporation. APT7 received unprecedented support from our Cultural Partners, which enabled the Gallery to bring artists to Brisbane for the installation of their works and to take part in opening weekend programs and events in early December 2012. Partners included Creative New Zealand, the Ishibashi Foundation and the following bilateral agencies of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade: the Australia– China Council, Australia–Japan Foundation, Australia–Malaysia Institute, Australia– Korea Foundation, Australia–India Council, Australia–Thailand Institute and the Australia–Indonesia Institute. The Gallery was privileged to host some of the world’s leading curators, gallery directors and academics through the APT7 International Visitors Program, which was the result of a collaboration involving the Gallery, the Australia Council for the Arts, and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. We are extremely proud of the achievements of APT7 and the APT series as a whole. The success of this exhibition must be shared with you — our sponsors and partners.
