Kids' APT - A collaboration
British filmmaker Nicholas Bonner worked closely with artists from the Mansudae Art Studio in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), to create a spectacular series of paintings inspired by one of the country’s most treasured tales, The Fairy of the Kumgang Mountains . Children could experience the magic of the story unfolding as they viewed the large picture book paintings and listened to the tale, accompanied by a Korean narration. Children’s Drawings Artists from the Mansudae Art Studio also conducted a series of drawing workshops with local school children aged 8 to 12 years and invited them to depict their dreams and favourite activities to share with children visiting Kids’ APT.
