Kids' APT - A collaboration

Thukral and Tagra designed a DIY sticker activity and environment to introduce children to traditional and contemporary Indian culture. Children created scenes using stickers designed by the artists that depicted different aspects of daily life in India. Thukral and Tagra Hi! Often they would look for the different images and symbols of India they saw on the stickers and try to match them with the colourful wallpaper that lined the floor and walls of the activity space. Children’s Art Centre activity assistant The initial idea was simply to educate the little ones and start a dialogue about life in India and engage them visually, interacting with stickers, and exploring their composition skills. The results were impressive as we could see the children playing, arranging, composing, and choosing certain visuals to others, accompanied by their parents who actually got hooked to the activity as well.
